New York System Hot Wieners

New York System Hot Wieners are a Rhode Island thing. No one from New York has ever heard of them. They are soooooo good. There is only 2 ways to eat them – “All the way” (with onions, mustard and sauce) or “No Onions”.
1 lb. hamburger
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. celery salt
Onion and garlic powder to taste
2 tsp. All spice
1 Package Oscar Meyer wieners
1 Package of buns
1 Large onion, chopped fine
In a fry pan, add a touch of oil and brown hamburger. Add the rest of the ingredients and cover with water. Mix well and simmer until the “sauce” turns red. While simmering, boil weiners in seperate pan. To serve – put weiner in bun, layer on sauce, onions and mustard. Enjoy!
