Hot Brussel Sprout Salad

Ingredients

  • 1lb shredded brussel sprouts
  • 1 large onion
  • 5 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp other seeds or everything spice mix
  • 1 tsp horseradish sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • optional: grilled chicken sausages and whole seed mustard

Directions

  1. Shred brussel sprouts and toss them in a bowl with half a lemon.
  2. Sautee onions and seeds until onions are soft and seeds are toasted.
  3. Add garlic, brussel sprouts, salt, and pepper and sautee on high heat until the brussel sprouts are bright green.
  4. Stir in horseradish sauce and juice from a wedge of lemon.
  5. Serve or top with slices of grilled chicken sausages and mustard.
